FUELING PROCEDURES
Your Honstein fuel card is easy to use. Authorized drivers simply swipe their card at any FUELlink location, enter some requested data, and receive instant authorization to pump fuel. Please use the following instructions to insure safe and fast fueling:
- BEFORE FUELING, TURN OFF YOUR ENGINE AND EXTINGUISH ALL CIGARETTES.
- Activate your dispenser.
- Insert your card into the cardreader and withdraw it in a continuous, smooth, rapid manner. Don't insert it and leave it. The reader reads the magnetic strip when you withdraw the card from the reader.
- Look at the cardreader display. It will prompt you to enter certain information.
- Enter your pump number, PIN and mileage if prompted.
- If you are using a two-card system, you will be prompted to enter your 2nd card during this process.
- Always press the enter key after you have entered anything on the keypad.
- If you have entered everything correctly, the display will let you know that your dispenser is ready.
- Remove your vehicle gas/fuel cap, lift off the nozzle from the holder on the dispenser and insert it into the fill point of your vehicle.
- When fueling is completed, hang up the nozzle and replace the gas cap.
- To obtain a receipt, reinsert your card into the reader or follow the directions stated on the decal by the reader.
